SERGE was established in 2015 by a small group of partners who had spent two decades inside global advisory houses. We chose deliberate scale: three offices, forty senior advisors, and a constrained mandate load. The work we accept is the work we can be accountable for.
The partnership exists to support a small number of leaders each year through decisions whose consequences outlast the engagement — operating reform, capital allocation, and the governance of complex institutions. We do not seek volume. We seek consequence.
Our work spans governments, enterprise boards, and data-intensive institutions. What these clients share is not sector — it is the weight of the decision they face, and the need for an advisor who will remain accountable for the outcome rather than the output.
We design for the decision, not the deliverable. A document is not a decision. A model is not an outcome. A recommendation is not a result. The work is finished when leadership has acted and the result is measurable.
Every engagement at SERGE is led by a partner. Not passed to an associate, not delegated to a team without senior oversight. The client's most consequential decision deserves the firm's most experienced judgment — and that is what we commit to in every mandate we accept.
We have declined more mandates than we have accepted. Not because of capacity, but because of fit. If the decision does not require the depth of our practice, we will say so directly. Selective engagement is not a posture — it is how we protect the standard.
